yan-nathyamano natatnatha-natho

su-mangalam pascima-jangalesu gaurangacandras caranam dadhati

namami tam sri-prabhupadadevam

 

     yan-nathyamanah - requested by whom; natatnatha-nathah - the  king of dancers; su-mangalam - auspicious;; pascima - in the west;  jangalesu - in the jungles; gaurangacandrah - Lord Caitanya;  caranam - feet; dadhati - places; namami - I offer my respectfdul  obeisances; tam - to him; sri-prabhupadadevam - to His Divine  Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

 

 

     I offer my respectful obeisances to His Divine Grace A C  Bhaktivedanta Svami Prabhupada Because of his prayers Lord  Gaurangacandra the king of dancers has placed His auspicious  lotus feet in the jungle of the western countries.

yad-yatnatas cakra-gada-pataka-

candrardha-vidyuj-jalajankusankaih alankrta hrt-saranisa-padaih

namami tam sri-prabhupadadevam

 

     yad-yatnatah - because of whose efforts; cakra - cakra;  gada - club; pataka - flag; candra - moon; ardha - half;  vidyut - lightning;  jalaja - lotus conch and fish; ankusa - goad; ankaih - with the  marks; alankrta - decorated; hrt-saranisa - on thepathway of  the heart; padaih - with foorptints. 

 

 

     I offer my respectful obeisances to His Divine Grace A C  Bhaktivedanta Svami Prabhupada Because of his efforts Lord  Krsna's footprints which bear the marks of cakra club flag  half-moon lightning bolt conch fish lotus and rod for  controlling elephants are nou imprinted on the pathway of the  living entities§ hearts.

samarpayantam vara-krsna-namna

amramrtam san-mrta-jivanartham jivaj-jane tu mrta-hasta-graste

namami tam sri-prabhupadadevam

 

     samarpayantam - placing; vara-krsna-namna - of the holy  name of Lord Krsna; amramrtam - the mango nectar; san- mrta-jivanartham - the elixer of immortality; jivaê-jane - to the  living entities living; tu - but; mrta-hasta-graste - in the grip of  death.

 

 

     I offer my respectful obeisances to His Divine Grace A C  Bhaktivedanta Svami Prabhupada To the living entities in the  grip of death he gives the elixir of immortality that is Lord  Krsna's holy name.

tyaktvanyakan padaka-pallave 'dya

yad-yatnatah sri-vraja-ballavasya karoti lokah para-vallabhatvam

namami tam sri-prabhupadadevam

 

     tyaktva - leaving; anyakan - others; padaka-pallave - lotus  feet; adya’now; yad-yatnatah - because of whose efforts; sri- vraja-ballavasya - of the cowherd of Vraja; karoti - does; lokah - the  people; para-vallabhatvam - love. 

 

 

     I offer my respectful obeisances to His Divine Grace A C  Bhaktivedanta Svami Prabhupada Because of his efforts the  people of this world are turning from everything else and  learning to repose their love at the lotus feet of Lord Krsna.

vrndatavi-vira-padatapatra-

varena viryena prajah prapantam pida-vipad-varsanakat karalam

namami tam sri-prabhupadadevam

 

     vrndatavi-vira - of the hero of Vrndavana; pada - of the  feet; atapatravarena - with the umbrella; viryena - heroically;  prajah - the people; prapantam - protecting; pida-vipad- varsanakat’from a monsoon of sufferings; karalam - terrible.

 

 

     I offer my respectful obeisances to His Divine Grace A C  Bhaktivedanta Svami Prabhupada With the umbrella of the lotus  feet of Vrndavana's hero Krsna he protects the living entities  from the monsoon of repeated material sufferings.

punar-bhavat kucita-marga-jalat

prajavalih krsna-padaravindam sahasra-patram paramam nayantam

namami tam sri-prabhupadadevam

 

     punar-bhavat - of repeated birth and death; kucita-marga- jalat’from the labyrinth; prajavalih - the people;  krsna-padaravindam - to Lord Krsna's lotus feet; sahasra- patram - with a thousand petals; paramam - transcendental;  nayantam - leading.

 

 

     I offer my respectful obeisances to His Divine Grace A C  Bhaktivedanta Svami Prabhupada He leads the conditioned souls  from the winding labyrinth of repeated birth and death to Lord  Krsna's thousand-petal lotus-flower world.

maya-pisaci-ku-hrsika-harsa-

svapam vihayadya hrsika-devam bhajanti lokah karunena yasya

namami tam sri-prabhupadadevam

 

     maya-pisaci - of the witch of maya; ku-hrsika- harsa - of material sense happiness; svapam - the dream;  vihaya - abandoning; adya - now;  hrsika-devam - the master of the senses; bhajanti - worship;  lokah’the people; karunena - by the mercy; yasya - of whom.

 

 

     I offer my respectful obeisances to His Divine Grace A C  Bhaktivedanta Svami Prabhupada By his mercy the conditioned  souls are awakening from the nightmare of material sense- happiness created by the witch maya Nou they see the reality of  devotional service to Lord Krsna the master of the senses.

caitanya-purnatvam alambataiva caitanya-sandesa-varena yena

     visvam - the world; tv - indeed; acaitanyam - liefless; idam - this;  tu’indeed; krsnacaitanya- purnatvam - the state of being filled with Krsna consciousness;  alambata - attained; eva - indeed; caitanya-sandesa-varena - by the  transcendental message of Lord Caitanya; yena - by whom.

 

 

     I offer my respectful obeisances to His Divine Grace A C  Bhaktivedanta Svami Prabhupada By speaking the message of Lord  Caitanya Mahaprabhu he fills this lifeless and inert universe  with Krsna consciousness. .pa

kalau yuge gauda-pradesa asrayam

grhe jagannatha-varasya nirmalam lasac-chaci-garbha-sudha-rasodayam

namami mayapura-candram ujjvalam

 

     kalau yuge - in Kali yuga; gauda-pradesa - in Bengal;  asrayam - shelter; grhe - inthe home; jagannatha- varasya - of Jagannatha Misra; nirmalam - transcendental; lasac- chaci-garbha-sudha-rasodayam - risen from the glistening nectar  ocean of Saci'devi's womb; namami - I offer my respectful  obeisances;  mayapura-candram - to the moon of Mayapura; ujjvalam - glistening.

 

 

     I offer my respectful obeisances to the glorious moon of  Mayapura a moon that in the Kali-yuga in the country of West  Bengal in the home of Jagannatha Misra rose from the nectar  ocean of Saci-devi's womb.

pranasayantam kali-ghora-tamasam

malani dhunvantam aho sukhena ca sudhamsubhir sundaram asrayam param

namami mayapura-candram ujjvalam

 

     pranasayantam - destroying; kali-ghora-tamasam - the  horrible darkness of Kali; malani - impurities; dhunvantam - purging;  ahah - aha;  sukhena - happily; ca - and; sudhamsubhih - with rays opf nectar;  sundaram - handsome; asrayam - shelter; param - transcendental.

 

 

     I offer my respectful obeisances to the glorious moon of  Mayapura a beautiful moon shining with nectar light a moon that  destroyed Kali's darkness and made its sins flee in all  directions.

su-candra-suryarbuda-koti-kotikah

parajayantam su-sukhena nityasah sukirtimantam subha-darsanam sukham

namami mayapura-candram ujjvalam

 

     su-candra-suryarbuda-koti-kotikah - millions of millions  of suns and moons; parajayantam - defeating; su- sukhena - easily; nityasah - always; sukirtimantam - glorious;  subha-darsanam - beautiful; sukham - happy.

 

 

     I offer my respectful obeisances to the glorious moon of  Mayapura a moon that again and again eclipses many millions of  the tiny suns and moons of this world.

katham katham ko 'pi nisesvaro lasan

nataty aho gayati krsna-nama ca subhe navadvipa-pathiti varnitam

namami mayapura-candram ujjvalam

 

     katham - how?; katham - how?; ko 'pi - something; nisesvarah - a  moon; lasan - glistening; natati - dances; ahah - aha; gayati - sings;  krsna-nama - the name of Lord Krsna; ca - and; subhe - beautiful;  navadvipa-pathi - on the pathways of Navadvipa; iti - thus;  varnitam - described.

 

 

     Hou can a glistening moon sing the holy names of  Lord Krsna and dance in Navadvipa's streets?¢ I offer my  respectful obeisances to the glorious moon of Mayapura a moon  that was described with these words.

sasi kalau ko 'pi saroja-drë praja-

prapalanartham avatirna ity aho yadiraye tarhi sa-pratyayo 'si kim

namami mayapura-candram ujjvalam

 

     sasi - moon; kalau - in Kali yuga; ko 'pi - a certain; saroja- drk - with lotus eyes; praja - the people; prapalanartham - to protect;  avatirna - descebnded; iti - thus; ahah - aha; yadi - if; iraye - I say;  tarhi’then; sa-pratyayah - with belief; asi - you are; kim - whether?

 

 

     Will you believe me if I tell you a moon shining with rays  of mercy and with eyes like lotus petals has come to rescue the  people of Kali-yuga¿ I offer my respectful obeisances to the  glorious moon of Mayapura.

mukunda-prestha vrsabhanu-nandini

ca radhika-vallabha-nanda-nandanah sukham labhete param eka-candratam

namami mayapura-candram ujjvalam

 

     mukunda-prestha - dear to Lord Krsna; vrsabhanu- nandini’the daughter of Vrsabhanu; ca - and; radhika- vallabha - dear to Sri Radha; nanda-nandanah - trhe son of Nanda;  sukham - happily; labhete - attain; param - supreme; eka-candratam - the  state of being a single moon.

 

 

     King Vrsabhanu's daughter who dearly loves Nanda's son  and Nanda's son who dearly loves King Vrsabhanu's daughter  have nou become a single moon I offer my respectful obeisances  to the glorious moon of Mayapura.

katham katham ko 'pi lasan nisesavarah

prapurayaty eva jagan muhur muhuh sukham sudbabhir bhuvi krsna-namabhir

namami mayapura-candram ujjvalam

 

     katham - how?; katham - how?; ko 'pi - something;  lasan - glistening; nisesavarah - moon; prapurayati - fills; eva - indeed;  jagat - the universe; muhuh - again; muhuh - and again; sukham - happily;  sudbabhih - with nectar; bhuvi - in the world; krsna-namabhih - with  Lord Krsna's holy names.

 

 

     Hou can a splendid moon fill the world with the sounds of  Krsna¡ Krsna!?¢ I offer my respectful obeisances to the glorious  moon of Mayapura.

namami divyam janata-prapalanam namami krsneti-su-giti-karakam

     harih - Lord Hari; golokesah - the master of Goloka; parama- paramah - the Supreme Personality of Godhead; nanda-tanayah - the son  of Nanda; sva-prestha-sri-radha - by His most beloved Sri  Radha; krta - felt; pranaya - love; bodhaya - to understand;  jagati - in the material world; srtav - in the created;  avirbhutah - manifested; nija-pranayi-rupah - in the form of His own  devotee; ya - who; iha - here; sa - He; padau - feet; sri-caitanyah - Lord  Caitanya; mati - of the thoughts; pathi - on the pathway;  sukhena - happily; arpayatu - may place; me - of me.

 

 

     May Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who is Lord Krsna Himself and  who to understand the love felt by His most beloved Radha‘ has  come to this world and assumed the role of His own devotee place  His feet on the pathway of my thoughts.

su-dharabhir nityam param iha jagan majjayati yah natan gayan divye sukhita-hari-sankirtana-vare

     paranandabhabhih - with the splendor of transcendental  bliss; nija-parama-namamrta-sudha - of the nectar of His own  transcendental holy names; su- dharabhih - with floods; nityam - always; param - great; iha - here;  jagan - the world; majjayati - plunges; yah - who; natan - dancing;  gayan - singing;  divye - transcendental; sukhita-hari-sankirtana-vare - in joyful  Hari-sankirtana.

 

 

     May Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who singing and dancing in the  joyful Hari-sankirtana festival flooded the world with the  blissful and splendid nectar of His own holy names place His  feet on the pathway of my thoughts.

svarupa-svamisa-prabhrti-jana-saj-jivanam aho

param rupa-svami-prabhrti-jana-nityasraya iha gadadhara-svami-prabhrti-janatananda-karanam

     svarupa-svamisa-prabhrti-jana - people beginning with  Svarupa Damodara Gosvami; saê-jivanam - the life; ahah - aha;  param - transcendental;  rupa-svami-prabhrti-jana - devotees beginning with Sri Ruipa  Gosvami; nityasraya - the eternal shelter; iha - here; gadadhara-svami- prabhrti-janata - devotees beginning with Gadadhara Pandita;  ananda-karanam - the source of bliss.

 

 

     May Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who is the eternal shelter of  the devotees headed by Srila Rupa Gosvami the life of the  devotees headed by Srila Svarupa Damodara and the bliss of the  devotees headed by Srila Gadadhara Pandita place His feet on  the pathway of my thoughts.

tri-lokanam nathah pranayi-janatanam su-padavi

praja-vatsalyardrah prthivi-kusalah loka-saranam su-saumyanam sresthah patita-pavano bhakta-pranayi

     tri-lokanam - of the three worlds; nathah - the master;  pranayi-janatanam - of the lovign devotees; su-padavi - the  auspicious path;  praja-vatsalyardrah - melting with love for the people;  prthivi-kusalah - the auspiciousness of the earth; loka- saranam - the shelter of the people; su- saumyanam - of they who are gentle at heart; sresthah - the  best; patita-pavanah - the deliverer of the fallen; bhakta- pranayi - the lover of the devotees.

 

 

     May Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who is the master of the three  worlds the goal of the devotees filled with spiritual love  melting with love for the people of the world the auspiciousness  of the earth the shelter of the worlds the best of the kind and  gentle the deliverer of the fallen and the lover of His  devotees place His feet on the pathway of my thoughts.

navadvipe balye vilasati jagannatha-bhuvi yah

kumaratve krida-parama-hrdayo yah sukha-hrda kisoratve nyaya-vadana-nipuno yo lasati sa

     navadvipe - in Navadvipa; balye - in childhood; vilasati - plays;  jagannatha-bhuvi - in the home of Jagannatha; yah - who;  kumaratve’as a boy;  krida-parama-hrdayah - His heart attached to playing; yah - who;  sukha-hrda’happy at heart; kisoratve - as a youth; nyaya- vadana-nipunah - expert at logic; yah - who; lasati - enjoys pastimes;  sa - He.

 

 

     May Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who in His childhood played in  Jagannatha Misra's home in His boyhood played childhood games  with a happy heart and in His youth became a scholar learned in  logic and argument place His feet on the pathway of my thoughts.

krpa-sindhur nityam paramam anukampamrta-sudha-

su-dhara divyabha karuna-vilasad-varida-varah dayardratma subhrah karuna-janata-raja-paramah

     krpa-sindhuh - an ocean of mercy; nityam - always;  paramam - transcendental; anukampamrta-sudha - with the nectar of  mercy; su- dhara - a flood; divyabha - splendid; karuna-vilasad-varida- varah - a monsoon cloud of mercy; dayardratma - His heart melting  with mercy;  subhrah - glorious; karuna-janata-raja-paramah - the king of all  merciful persons.

 

 

     May Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who is an ocean of mercy a  splendid nectar flood of mercy and a splendid monsoon cloud of  mercy whose heart melts with mercy and who is the king of all  who are merciful, place His feet on the pathway of my thoughts.

sada srivasasyangana iha sukhenotsava-vare

hare krsnety uccaih satatam abhigayan natati yah nijair bhaktair divyair saha sukha-vilasi lasati ca

     sada - always; srivasasyangana - in Srivasa's courtyard;  iha’here; sukhenotsava-vare - in a happy festival; hare  krsnety uccaih - with loud chanting of the Hare Krsna mantra;  satatam - always; abhigayan - singing; natati - dances; yah - who;  nijaih - with His own;  bhaktaih - devotees; divyaih - glorious; saha - with; sukha- vilasi - happy; lasati’enjoys pastimes; ca - and.

 

 

     May Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who singing the Hare Krsna  mantra dancing and glistening with happiness enjoys blissful  pastimes with His devotees in Srivasa's courtyard place His feet  on the pathway of my thoughts.

rasam mistam sandram rasayati parananda-hrdayah lasann unmadi yah vilasati jagannatha-puri ca

     vraje - in Vraja; sri-sri-radha-krta - done by Sri Radha;  hari - for Lord Krsna; maha-bhava-bhavana-rasam - the nectar of  ecstatic love; mistam - sweet; sandram - intense; rasayati - tastes;  parananda-hrdayah’happy at heart; lasann - splendid;  unmadi - mad; yah - who; vilasati - enjoys pastimes; jagannatha- puri - in Jagannatha Puri; ca - and.

     kamala - lotus; komala - soft; pada - feet; yugam - pair;  subham - âeautiful; madhura-gulpha-yugam - charming ankles;  subha-janukam - charming knees; kadalika-taru - banana trees;  caru - graceful; varorukam - thighs; su-vilasat - splendid;  katikam - hips; sukha-darsanam - beautiful to see.

 

 

     Day and night I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord  Mukunda whose feet are soft like lotus flowers whose ankles are  graceful whose knees are graceful whose thighs are graceful  like banana trees whose hips are glorious who is the most  handsome   .

     nalina - lotus flowers; lasi - glistening; sarovara - lake;  nabhikam - navel; sukha - happy; tadit - lightning; prabha - light;  pitala - yellow; vasasam - garments; madhura-charming;  sundara - handsome; madhya - waist; subham - handsome;  sukham - handsome; lasita - splendid;  nila - dark; kapataka - door panels; vaksasam - chest.

 

 

    whose navel is splendid like a lake of lotus flowers  whose yellou garments are splendid like lightning whose waist is  graceful whose chest is like a great doorway

vilasitamala-kaustubha-ratnakam su-madhuram vijayamala-saurabha-

kusuma-malya-vibhusita-vaksasam

 

     kati - in the hips; samarpita - placed; venu - flute;  susrngakam - and bugle; vilasita - splendid; amala - glistening;  kaustubha-ratnakam - kaustubha jewel; su-madhuram - very charming;  vijaya - victory; amala - splendid; saurabha - fragrant; kusuma - flower;  malya - garland; vibhusita - decorated; vaksasam - whose chest.

 

 

    into whose belt are placed a flute and bugle who is  decorated with a glistening Kaustubha jewel who is very  charming whose chest is decorated with a great fragrant  Vaijayanti garland   .

sabala-danda-su-bahu-yugam param madhura-sankha-su-kantha-vilasitam

makara-karna-vibhusana-bhusitam

 

     lasita - splendid; pina - broad; subha - handsome; amsa- yugam - shoulders; varam - excellent; sabala - powerful;  danda - maces; su- bahu-yugam - great arnms; param - great; madhura - charming;  sankha - conchshell; su-kantha - graceful neck;  vilasitam - glorious;  makara - shark; karna-vibhusana - earrings;  bhusitam - decorated.

 

 

    whose broad shoulders are splendid and graceful whose  arms are like powerful maces whose necë is like a graceful  conchshell who is decorated with sharë-shaped earrings   .

su-cibukam subha-bimba-phaladharam

su-madhura-smitam ujjvala-vigraham sphutita-kunda-prasuna-radavalim

tila-prasuna-susundara-nasikam

 

     su-cibukam - graceful chin; subha-bimba- phaladharam - handsom,e bimba fruit lips; su-madhura- smitam - charming smile;  ujjvala-vigraham - splendid form; sphutita - blossoming;  kunda - jasmine; prasuna - flowers; radavalim - teeth; tila- prasuna - sesame flower; susundara - graceful; nasikam - nose.

 

 

    whose chin is graceful whose lips are like glorious bimba  fruits whose smile is charming whose form is splendid and  glorious whose lips are like jasmine flowers whose nose is like  a sesame flower   .

kusuma-malaka-mandala-karninam

kamala-netra-yugam sukhitam subham madana-capa-vicaru-lasad-bhruvam

hrdaya-cora-vilasi-kataksakam

 

     kusuma-malaka - flower garland; mandala - circles;  karninam - with ears; kamala-netra-yugam - lotus eyes;  sukhitam - happy; subham - handsome; madana-capa - Kamadeva's bow;  vicaru - handsome; lasat - splendid; bhruvam - eyebrows;  hrdaya - hearts;  cora - stealing; vilasi - playful; kataksakam - sidelong glance.
