     pradaya - giving; puspam - a flower; narasimha-paduke - to Lord  Nrsimha's feet; pranamya - bowing; murdhna - with the head;  narasimha-paduke - to Lord Nrsimha's feet; prapathya - reciting;  stotram - prayers; narasimha-paduke - to Lord Nrsimha's feet;  prayami - I go; raksam - to the protection; narasimha-paduke - at  Lord Nrsimha's feet.

 

 

     Offering a flower bowing my head and reciting prayers I  take shelter of Lord Nrsimha's feet.

     I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord Nrsimha who  angrily created a flowing river of demon's blood in  Hiranyakaipu's beautiful palace.

     sri…-nrkesarinam - to Lord Nrsimha; ugra- damstrakam - horrible fangs; tiksna-drstim - sharp glance;  iha - here; krodha-silanam - angry; hani-kara-nakharam - dangerous  claws; prapalakam - protector; bhakta - of the devotee; parsva - at  the side; sthitam - staying; anatah - bowed down; asmi - am; aham - I.

 

 

     I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord Nrsimha the  protector who with sharp eyes terrible fangs an angry nature  and dangerous claws stands by His devotee's side.

     ditija-pati - od the king of demons; rana - battle; vara - great;  smarana-parama-karanam - reminding; vrajapati - of the king of Vraja;  suta - of the son; madhura - sweet; smita - smile; kamalam - lotus;  iha - here; numah - let us praise.

 

 

     Let us glorify the charming lotus smile that appeared on  Lord Krsna's face when He remembered His battle with  Hiranyakaipu.

     ugra - terrible; ugra - terrible; aksam - eyes; bhiti - fear;  adhyaksam - judge; daityesanam - of the kings of demons;  himsa-karam - dangerous; prahladartham - for Prahlada's sake;  tv - indeed; avirbhutam - manifested; simhesesam - the king of lions;  vande - I bou down; nityam - always.

 

 

     Again and again I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord  Nrsimha the terrible-eyed frightening judge that came to  protect Prahlada and kill the demons.

     pranamitah asmi - I bou down; sukhena - happily; muhuh - again;  muhuh - and again; parama-saê-jana - of the saintly devotees;  bhiti - fears; pramarjanam - wiping away; ajita - invincible;  vajra - thunderbolts; balini - strong; asura - of the demon; urasi - on the  chest; vara-nrkesarinah - of Lord Nrsimha; nakha - nails;  karsanam - scratching.

 

 

     Again and again I happily offer my respectful obeisances to  the great scratches Lord Nrsimha's claws made on the demon's  chest a chest stronger than invincible thunderbolts and  scratches that brushed away the fears of the saintly devotees.

     simhah - lion; kruddhah - angry; kevalam - only; bhakta-parsve - at  the devotees§ side; asmakam - of us; ca - and; evam - thus; sainya- vrndam - many armies; tv - indeed; iti - thus; idam - this; daityan - to  the demons; ghoran - terrible; bhasamanan - talking; bruve - I say;  aham - I; mudha - O fools; mrtyum - to death; gacchatha - you are  going; adya - now; eva - thus; turnam  - quickly.

 

 

     To the demons who say among themselves The  devotees have only a ferocious lion and we have many great  armies,¢ I say Fools you are about to be smashed into pieces."

     Friend don't be afraid of the demons Lord Nrsimha will  burn them to ashes with His angry glance.

     Let me praise the beautiful blood-anointed claws that bring  happiness to the devotees and prove that Lord Nrsimha is very  kind and merciful.

     Glory to the splendid moon of Lord Nrsimha who illuminates  the darë night of Kali-yuga and frightens away the many thieves  that would roâ the devotees of their wealth of pious deeds.

     Glory to Lord Nrsimha greater than the greatest the first  of the first the master of the demigods the glorious Supreme  Personality of Godhead who smiles when He hears the arrogant  challenge of Hiranyakasipu.

     His sharp claws extended and His lotus eyes glistening may  Lord Nrsimha stand guard carefully watching the entrance of my  thoughts.

     satravah - enemies; prati-disi - in every direction;  iha - here; ghoraka - terrible; apad-avali - calamities; su-duhkha - of  great sufferings; karana - the cause; he - O; nrsimha - Lord  Nrsimha; krpaya - mercifully; avraja - please come; isvara - O  Lord; pahi - please protect; pahi - please protect; paripahi - please  protect; pahi - please protect; nah - us.

 

 

     We are surrounded on all sides In a moment a thousand  dangers will come crashing down on us O Lord Nrsimha please  quickly come and defend us.

sundare vilasite manohare su-smitah para-sukhantaratmana

     sri-nrsimha-caranambuje - Lord Nrsimha's lotus feet;  vare - ewxcellent; sundare - beautiful; vilasite - splenid;  manohare - charming; su-smitah - smiling; para-sukhantaratmana - with  a happy heart; malati-kusumam - a jasmine flower; arpayamy - place;  aham - I.

 

 

     Smiling and my heart filled with happiness I place a  jasmine flower at Lord Nrsimha's beautiful feet.

 stutva punah punah punah sirsanata vinitaka

vag-isvaresvaresvarah

 

vindanti na kadapy aho

simam pramodakavaleh sri-sri-nrsimha-lasita-

padabja-kirti-samhateh

 

     vedah - the Vedas; putajali-yutah  - with folded hands;  stutva - praying; punah - again; punah - and again; punah - and again;  sirsanata - with bowed head; vinitaka - humble; vag- isvaresvaresvarah - the masters of the masters of words;  vindanti - find; na - not; kadapy - ever; ahah - Oh; simam - the limit;  pramodakavaleh - filled with happinesses; sri-sri-nrsimha - of  Lord Nrsimha's; lasita - glistening; padabja - lotus feet;  kirti - glories; samhateh - of the multitude.

 

 

     Praying again and again and again their hands folded and  their heads humbly bowed the eloquent Vedas cannot find the end  of the blissful glories of Lord Nrsimha's glorious lotus feet.

     sesah - Lord Sesa; sataih - with hundreds; mukhaih - of mouths;  iha - here; vag-isvaresvaresvaraih - the master of the masters of  words; a-srsti-kala - since the beginning of creation;  kirtanah - glorifying; stutva - praying; punah - again; punah - and  again; punah - and again; vindaty - finds; ahah - Oh; kadapi - ever; na - not;  simam - the limit; pramodakavaleh - filled with happinesses;  sri-sri-nrsimha - of Lord Nrsimha's; lasita - glistening;  padabja - lotus feet; kirti - glories; samhateh - of the  multitude.

 

 

     Since the beginning of creation chanting again and again and again with  His hundred eloquent mouths Lord Sesa cannot find the end of the  blissful glories of Lord Nrsimha's glorious lotus feet.

     sri-sri-nrsimhah - Lord Nrsimha; para-modakah - great  happiness; asti - is; nah - of us; sri-sri-nrsimhah - Lord  Nrsimha; para-mandirah - the temple; asti - is; nah - of us; sri-sri- nrsimhah - Lord Nrsimha para-pranadah - the giver of life;  asti - is; nah - of us; sri-sri-nrsimhah - Lord Nrsimha; para- palakah - the protector; asti - is; nah - of us.

 

 

     Lord Nrsimha is our happiness Lord Nrsimha is our place of  worship Lord Nrsimha is our life and soul Lord Nrsimha is our  protector

     sri-sri-nrsimha - O Lord Nrsimha; asi - You are;  priyah - dear; tvam - You; eva - indeed; nah - of us; sri-sri- nrsimha - O Lord Nrsimha; tvam - You; asi - are; isvarah - the master;  hi - indeed; nah - of us; sri-sri-nrsimha - O Lord Nrsimha; asi - You  are; prapalanah - the protector; hi - indeed; nah - of us; sri-sri- nrsimha - O Lord Nrsimha; dvisa - of enemies; tapanah - the ditress;  asi - You are; nah - of us.

 

 

     Lord Nrsimha we love You You are our Lord our friend and  our protector You are the great danger that stops our enemies.

svajana-yuyustu-

ditija-nrsamsah svajana-krpalur

jayati nrsimhah

 

     svajana - devotees; yuyustu - eager to fight; ditija - demons;  nrsamsah - cruel; svajana - to the devotees; krpaluh - kind;  jayati - glory; nrsimhah - to Lord Nrsimha.

 

 

     All glories to Lord Nrsimha who is soft and gentle to His  devotees but hard and cruel to whoever attacks His devotees.

sri-sri-nrsimho na kadapy aho 'bhavad

ity evam ugrasura-loka-mandalah siksa-paro vakti punah punah punah

prapsyaty aho vismayam adyam eva te

 

     sri-sri-nrsimhah - Lord Nrsimha; na - not; kadapy - ever;  ahah - Oh; abhavat - was; ity - thus; evam - thus; ugra - terrible; asura-loka- mandalah - demons; siksa-parah - teachers; vakti - speak;  punah - again; punah - and again; punah - and again; prapsyaty - will  attain; ahah - Oh; vismayam - surprise; adyam - first; eva - indeed; te - they.

 

 

     Again and again the demons argue that Lord Nrsimha does not  exist Ah what a surprise awaits them.

nakhara-kamala-kulakam  svajana-sthagitam amalam

svajana-ripu-vikasitam

 

     jayati - all glories; narahari - of Lord Nrsimha; sita - sharp;  nakhara - claws; kamala - lotus; kulakam - many; svajana - devotees;  sthagitam - hidden; amalam - splendid; svajana - of the devotees;  ripu - for the enemies; vikasitam - extended.
