Subject: How the Mayapur seminar is going

Hare Krishna, My obeisances to all of you.

We have completed 5 days of our seminar "Y2K - Self-sufficiency and

Survival" during the Mayapur Gaura Purnima festival. We have two more days

to go.

The first days I gave an introduction to computer problem which could

potentially generate a lot of trouble. I stressed that just the fear caused

by the expectation of a break-down could create a huge financial crisis. The

guest speaker for the first day was HH Devamrita Maharaja who told the

devotees of his conversations with counsellors to the Federal Reserve Bank

of Australia (connected closely to all other Federal Banks). Maharaja

revealed that the world financial leaders see no alternative to a great

financial depression. They are also talking of orchestrating some war to

perk up the economy.

The second day's guest speaker was HH Purusatraya Maharaja who presented his

self-sufficiency project in Brazil. Bhaktin Carol gave the devotees

fundamental guidelines on what to look for in a land one wants to buy to

start a self-sufficient project and what are the first things to do once you

get the land.

On the third day HH Bhanu Maharaja gave an explanation on astrological

principles and analyzed upcoming potential crucial dates: 11 August 1999,

and 28 May 2000 appear especially critical (very similar to the beginning of

second world war). Maharaja also discussed Nostradamus and other prophesies.

On the fourth day we concentrated on food-storage and food-drying. Carol

spoke the whole time. She is an expert presenter besides being extremely

expert in all these practical knowledge. It is amazing how much she knows

and how much she did in her 54 years.

Today, fifth day, was dedicated to security. Carol spoke on self-defence,

emergency measures for escaping a dangerous situaton and related matters.
