Yugoslavia Bombing -Vedic Astrology

NATO forces started bombing at Pristina, Yugoslavia (42n39, 21e10) at 19:00 GMT on March 24, 1999. Mars owns 2nd and 7th he occupies Libra lagna and lagna lord joins Saturn in 7th. Rahu is in Cancer and Rahu's Vimsottari dasa and Cancer's Kalachakra dasa runs, indicating further hostilities and considerable losses. In D-11, Rahu joins lagna lord Jupiter, aspected by Mars in Aries. Compared to the attack on Iraq, THIS attack has better potential to lead to WWIII.

Mars and Saturn are in opposition on the axis of lagna. They occupy the constellations of Rahu and Ketu. They aspect each other in D-11 (Rudramsa, war, death and destruction) also. Ketu joins Mars in Aries in D-11. Can the REAL purpose of this war be to "protect peace" and humanitarian concerns as NATO rhetoric tried to convince us? No!! Not at all. Mars and Saturn on lagna axis in nodal constellations clearly show meaningless aggression, rashness of the highest degree, arrogance, perversion and impulses as the driving factors!

In Mahabharata war, Kauravas fought with Pandavas. In today's Kaliyuga, there are no Pandavas - wars are fought between Kauravas and Kauravas. It is easy - and perhaps justified to some extent - to villify Yugoslavia. But one should realize that there are no simple and straight answers to the underlying issue of separatism, secessionism and terrorism, that is sweeping the world today. Kashmiris in India and Kurds in Turkey are just a few examples to this widespread problem. Ignoring the core issues, preaching one's version of morality and forcing one's will on someone else with strong-arm tactics, WITHOUT taking permission from UN, establish a very very bad precedent and endanger the delicate fabric of world peace.

Russia is taken for granted today because of its economic plight. But NATO should beware of its military might!! Russia is not a fool to endanger world peace by directly confronting NATO, but if others are foolish enough to continuously push it, anything can happen. July-Sept 1999 and March-Sept 2000 present more serious and dangerous planetary combinations. Russia's lunar new year charts for 1999-2000 and 2000-01 show a serious prospect of Russia getting involved in a disastrous war, possibly in March-July 2000.

What we are seeing today are the *very early* stages of WWIII. Realignment of world forces, coming together of Milosevic, Saddam Hussein and some Islamic terrorists, with secret support from a couple of powerful Asian countries, breakdown of key infrastructure in US due to hardware (not software) failure soon after January 1, 2000, military blows by foes on a crippled US and ensuing large-scale destruction of humanity, are some of the things that may be forecast in the next 2 years. I was hopeful that my prediction of WWIII in 2000 would go wrong, but my hopes have crashed after today's irresponsible and arrogant act of aggression. Things are going just as the bad planetary combinations indicate - no 'freewill' is being exerted by responsible and mature world leaders.

Zoran has provided the correct birthdata of Yugoslavia (April 27, 1992, 14:05-14:10, TZ: 2:00 east of GMT, 20e29, 44n48). Thanks to him. Yugoslavia's D-11 has lagna in Aries and lagna has "malefic scissors" (papa-kartari) from Saturn and Ketu. Jupiter and Venus in lagna can save, but Mars is also in lagna and he dominates over them. Yugoslavia runs the 7-year Kalachakra dasa of Aries from Sept 1998. This dasa is likely to see widespread destruction in the country and possibly a further break-up of the provinces that are left. Rahu dasa is running till 2002 (Vimsottari). With Rahu being in 8th with 6th lord Mercury in D-11, Rahu dasa is not good. Mercury's antardasa during 1993-1995 brought a war because Mercury owns 6th and occupies 8th in D-11. Sun's antardasa will start in April. Sun occupies 6th in D-11. It is likely to see an escalation in hostilities and some loss for the enemy also. In the short run, movement of Venus into Taurus causes a powerful subha kartari (benefic scissors) on natal D-11 lagna. It should be noted that the two planets causing this (Jupiter and Venus) occupy lagna in natal D-11 also and so they may present serious hope that the hostilities may end. However, July-August may see an escalation of tension (Rahu's pratyantardasa in Rahu-Sun antardasa).
